  • It's been a while since I've updated this thing. Well it's just the beginning of summer and alot has happened since March 30 (AKA Judgement Day).

On the following Monday after school got out, I went to Taiwan to visit my grandparents. I spent 10 days there and started to enjoy it after being bed-ridden with the stomach-flu for the whole day. I experienced night markets, morning markets, the city life, the mega shopping malls, riding in buses and subways on a daily basis, and learning to live in a basement with four other family members.

I took so many pictures, but honestly, picture blogs are so cliched nowadays. I have them on Facebook if you care to see them.

I graduated on June 15th. I made a speech which would have been radical if I was a better public speaker (hey at least I admit my weaknesses). The hardest part about leaving high school was breaking the routine. If you look back in my previous entries, you'll notice a pattern of monotony. Well it's gone forever. Never again will I walk the back way through Sullenger's ceramic's classroom or stay after school avoiding the admistration while hiding out in the newspaper backroom. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just different.

The summer days are drifting away. Tomorrow is July 4th and I can think all the way back to 7th and 8th grade where we spent the night at Jon Andrew's house and all the havoc we tried to wreak. Fun times.

Everyone always asks me, "Aren't you going to be excited for Duke?"  I always answer "Uh yeah, I dont know..." and they'll tell me "ARE YOU CRAZY, IT'S FREAKING COLLEGE!"  Let's not talk about me leaving because that's a sad subject.

And speaking of sad subjects, let's talk about my inability to find a summer job. It's July THIRD, and I leave August 20. Who's going to hire me? Sigh, I don't want to waste my summer. The most productive thing I can do is read books and go to the gym. And hanging out with friends is pretty productive too ;).

Okay let's see... I went to Prom with an awesome date. All of us (you know who you are) just went together as a group and it was a blast. Again, there are pictures, but they can be found on Facebook. Honestly, I'm not going to waste my time re-upping them on Xanga's server.

My gym passed expired.  That saddened me-- I paid 20 bucks for a new one today. I need to earn money. I can't keep draining my savings like this. I need a job. Okay here's something I can do-- I could tutor. Alright so who's taking the SATs soon? Welllll I can help you. So call me or something. I'll gladly help you ace that stupid test.

    What else...

the Glenbrook Girls are going to Europe. I would have gone... but money is a problem (as usual). Sigh.
